INDONESIA IMPORT TERMS OF SERVICE AND INFORMATION

Please read before purchasing! 

  At Northern Lights Reptile Imports, we work exclusively with Prestasi for our Indonesian imports. They are a well known, captive breeding facility within Indonesia. They are known for their ethical standards and care, in both captive bred animals and wild caught. Chris Applin, whom I deal with, goes out of his way to babysit and acclimate many of the animals (when wild caught) to ensure their best chances within captivity.  Prestasi is not some random typical Indonesian reptile farm. They focus on Odatria (dwarf monitors, Tree Monitors, and many more species to bring the utmost quality to us.

  However, due to the nature of overseas shipping, wild caught risks, and overall import risks, we must go through the worst case scenarios.

   We are hoping to have this shipment landed in Canada by APPROXIMATELY AUGUST 2026. However, there might be a buffer of a few months after ( ended up being October last year). Why? We want to ensure our order is absolutely fulfilled for all of our customers. Most people who import from Indonesia bring in a small selection of stuff for resale, whereas here we are pre-selling. This is to cater to what our customers want, but also provide a better shipping rate for everyone due to the quantity we bring in with a full order. Due to this, it can take a bit more time to get it all together than anticipated.

  With that time buffer, captive bred “babies” (For example, ordering baby tree monitors) may be older at that point. So please do not be surprised by older individuals; this does not change their captive bred status by any means. Only changes the fact they are more acclimated and a bit larger. However we will accommodate your order the best we can.

   With imports, especially from across the world, death on arrival to me (importer) can happen at no fault of anyone. Prestasi will offer me credit on future orders (or possible refund, situation depending) on that animal or value. Any animals that die after arrival are not subject to refunding or replacement. If any issues come up when you receive it, please let me know within 1 hour of receiving the box. I’ll do my best to find a solution, but I can’t promise we’ll be able to resolve it. Please note, this is an absolute worst case scenario, and on our previous shipment, we had very minimal problems. Please note amphibians are nonrefundable/noncreditable due to the high risk of issues and sensitivities.

50% Deposits on orders are required. Here is the schedule.
  25% Deposit is required upon order for orders up to $999.
  30% Deposit will be required upon order for orders $1000+.

   50% of your order will be required to have been paid 45 days after the first deposit. 

The remaining balance of your order is to be paid two weeks before importation. 

Shipping cost (“Significant” = tree monitors, pythons, etc. “nonsignificant” will be things around $70 value or less range such as House Geckos, Gonocephalus sp etc)

$65/head for any “significant” reptile up to 4 heads.

$45/head for any “significant” reptile up to 5-10

$35/head for any “significant” reptile up to 11+

NONSIGNIFICANTS WILL DEPEND ON QUANTITY

***Large animals may be subject to a slight upcharge 

Cites permit @ $50/species

WHOLESALE PRICING, PLEASE CHECK YOUR  WHOLESALE LIST 

The 50% deposit is nonrefundable if you choose to cancel your order. Cancellation 3 weeks before import will be void of any refund. Deposits also cannot be transferable to future orders. Reason for this, I purchase your animals upon order. I now must import these animals in, regardless if you back out or not. Prestasi will not be held responsible for people backing out, and losing their own sales due to it. Also, just good business practice for all parties involved. Please also note that domestic shipping fees, as well as international freight fees are not refundable.

Deposits WILL be refunded if animals are unable to be obtained for any reason.

We also will be treating snakes for mites upon arrival (as it can happen), and look over for any ticks as many animals are kept in outdoor enclosures. We may miss some however, and we do encourage any buyers to keep caution as well in case. Some bumps, scuffs, scratches, regens/missing tail tips as well as other cosmetic blemishes may be on animals, however this is part of nature and sometimes can happen. Please keep in mind these are not like buying multi-generation US CBB or EU CBB.

 Difficulties (note: bacterial or viral) and imperfections may exist. It’s the fact of life to be aware of and accept with imports. BE PREPARED. 

In the unlikely event the USD fluctuates too much and surpasses animal sale cost, there will be a small increment added to your invoice at the end. This is VERY RARE but can happen.

In Summary
Many rules, unfortunately, and we do apologize. We had too many people not take our last shipment seriously so now we must implement these.
